	Electronic Design As most of our designs include a sensor front-end, ranging from a cryogenically cooled infrared detector through photon-counting PMTs to high-resolution CMOS image sensors, we can offer a considerable expertise in low-noise and high-speed amplifier design and signal conditioning circuitry. This is normally followed by suitable signal conversion arrangements along with a data handling, processing and storage capability. Although most designs we undertake are from scratch, we can also review existing systems and offer a redesign service to reduce size and costs, improve speed and functionality, and to avoid obsolescence. The PCBs that we have produced vary from small single sided boards to large 8-layer systems. When a high degree of integration is needed we employ the most compact surface mount devices including those housed in state-of-the-art BGA (Ball Grid Array) packages.
